What is the Agriculture Management System?
The Agriculture Management System is a web application that supports farmers and agricultural cooperatives in planning crops, managing resources, recording activities, and tracking produce and sales. Users can register land parcels, plan which crops to grow, schedule activities such as sowing, irrigation, and harvesting, and log the use of seeds, fertiliser, and labour. The system records expenses and harvest output, and can manage the sale of produce to buyers, giving farmers a clear picture of cost versus return for each crop and season. Administrators manage crops, resources, and records from a central dashboard.
Built on PHP with the CodeIgniter framework and a MySQL database, this mini project uses a clean MVC structure that keeps planning, activity, and sales logic separated and easy to maintain. Role-based access distinguishes administrators and farm users, keeping data secure. Reports on crop performance, input costs, yields, and sales help farmers make informed decisions and improve productivity. By linking planning, activities, costs, and produce, the project demonstrates how technology brings structure and insight to farming.
Complete source code and documentation are included so students can study how agricultural operations and finances are tracked together. This project suits learners who want a practical, socially relevant example of management software applied to the agriculture sector.
