The Backup and Restore Tool keeps important files safe. Users choose folders to back up and a backup location like an external drive.

Backups can run on a schedule, are compressed into ZIP files, and only changed files are copied. Restoring files takes one click. It is built with C# .NET WinForms.

  1. Install Visual Studio Community with the .NET desktop development workload.
  2. Install MongoDB and restore or attach the database file we provide.
  3. Open the .sln solution file in Visual Studio.
  4. Update the connection string in App.config if your server name is different.
  5. Press F5 (Start) and log in with the admin details from the documentation.
