What is the Weather Forecast Website?

The Weather Forecast Website shows live weather for any city. It uses a public weather API to get temperature, humidity, wind and rain chances.

Users see hourly and 7-day forecasts with icons and charts, and can save favourite cities. Location is detected automatically. It is built with Laravel, PHP and JavaScript.

Best for: BCA, MCA, BSc IT, BE / B.Tech (CSE / IT) and diploma students. Good as a major / final year project for your semester submission.

  1. Install XAMPP and start Apache and MySQL from the XAMPP control panel.
  2. Copy the project folder into C:\xampp\htdocs\ (or htdocs on Mac).
  3. Open localhost/phpmyadmin, create a new database and import the .sql file we provide.
  4. Run composer install, copy .env.example to .env and add your database name.
  5. Open localhost/project-folder in your browser and log in with the admin details given in the documentation.
