What is the Hardware Store Management System?

The Hardware Store Management System helps a hardware shop manage thousands of small items like screws, pipes, tools, electrical parts and cement. Items can be sold in different units such as piece, box or kilo, and the stock updates with every bill.

Contractors often buy on credit, so the system keeps their account and pending amounts. Supplier purchases, low-stock alerts and daily sales reports make the shop easy to run. It is built with PHP, CodeIgniter and MySQL.

  1. Install XAMPP and start Apache and MySQL from the XAMPP control panel.
  2. Copy the project folder into C:\xampp\htdocs\ (or htdocs on Mac).
  3. Open localhost/phpmyadmin, create a new database and import the .sql file we provide.
  4. Open the database config file and enter your database name, username and password.
  5. Open localhost/project-folder in your browser and log in with the admin details given in the documentation.
