What is the Ringtone Maker App?

The Ringtone Maker App lets users make ringtones from their own songs. They pick a song, choose the start and end points on a waveform, and preview the clip.

Fade in and fade out can be added, and the clip is saved and set as ringtone, alarm or notification sound. It is built in Android Studio with Java/Kotlin.

  1. Install Android Studio and open it once so it downloads the SDK.
  2. Choose File → Open and select the project folder.
  3. Wait for Gradle sync to finish (first time may take a few minutes).
  4. Check the database / API settings file if the project uses a server.
  5. Connect your phone with USB debugging ON (or start an emulator) and click Run.
