What is the Salon Management System?
The Salon Management System is a web application that streamlines the operations of a beauty salon, covering appointments, services, staff, and billing in a single platform. Customers can browse the list of services with prices, book a slot with a preferred stylist, and view their appointment history, while the salon manages bookings, prevents scheduling clashes, and keeps each chair productive. Staff see their assigned appointments for the day, and the system records completed services to generate accurate, itemised bills. Administrators manage the service catalogue, pricing, staff profiles, and promotions from a central dashboard.
Built with PHP and the CodeIgniter framework over a MySQL database, this mini project uses an MVC architecture that keeps booking, service, and billing logic cleanly separated and easy to maintain. Role-based access distinguishes administrators, stylists, and customers, protecting pricing and personal data. - Install XAMPP and start Apache and MySQL from the XAMPP control panel.
- Copy the project folder into
