What is the Electronic Shop Management System?

The Electronic Shop Management System is a web application that manages the sales, inventory, and customers of an electronics retail store from one organised dashboard. It maintains a catalogue of products such as appliances and gadgets with prices, categories, and stock levels, and updates quantities automatically as items are purchased and sold. Staff can generate itemised bills, apply discounts, and record customer details, while administrators manage products, suppliers, and pricing centrally. The system flags low-stock items so popular products are reordered before they run out, and it keeps a clear history of every sale for warranty and follow-up purposes.

This project stores its data in Firebase, providing real-time updates and cloud-backed reliability, while PHP and the CodeIgniter framework supply a structured MVC application layer. Role-based logins separate administrators, cashiers, and managers, keeping pricing and inventory controls secure. Reports on sales trends, fast-moving products, and stock valuation help owners make smarter purchasing decisions. By combining billing, inventory, and customer records, the project demonstrates the core workflow of modern retail software.

Complete source code and documentation are included so students can study how a real-time cloud datastore integrates with a PHP framework. This mini project suits learners interested in retail billing, inventory control, and cloud-backed data handling.

Best for: BCA, MCA, BSc IT, BE / B.Tech (CSE / IT) and diploma students. Good as a mini project for your semester submission.
