What is the Clinic Management System?
The Clinic Management System is a web application that digitises the daily work of a small clinic, covering patient registration, appointments, consultations, and billing in one simple platform. Patients can book appointments online and view their visit history, while the receptionist registers patients, schedules slots, and manages the day's queue. Doctors access patient details, record diagnoses and prescriptions, and review past visits, giving them a complete picture before each consultation. Billing is generated directly from the consultation, producing accurate, itemised invoices and keeping a clear financial record.
This project uses MongoDB as its datastore, whose flexible document structure suits varied patient and consultation records, while PHP and the CodeIgniter framework provide a structured MVC application layer. Role-based logins separate administrators, doctors, and reception staff, protecting sensitive medical information. - Install XAMPP and start Apache and MySQL from the XAMPP control panel.
- Copy the project folder into
C:\xampp\htdocs\(orhtdocson Mac). - Open
localhost/phpmyadmin, create a new database and import the.sqlfile we provide. - Open the database config file and enter your database name, username and password.
