Face Recognition Attendance System Project
A Face Recognition Attendance System in Python using OpenCV and deep learning to mark attendance from a webcam automatically.
- Python
- TensorFlow/Scikit-learn
- SQLite
- Remote setup included

What is the Face Recognition Attendance System?
The Face Recognition Attendance System marks attendance by simply looking at the camera. Student or employee faces are registered once, and the system learns their facial features.
During class, the webcam detects faces, recognises each person and saves attendance with date and time in the database. No proxy attendance is possible. Reports can be exported to Excel. It is built with Python, OpenCV and a face recognition model, with a simple Flask web interface.

How the Face Recognition Attendance System Works
Dataset
A public dataset is loaded, cleaned and split into train and test parts.
Training
The model learns patterns from the training data.
Testing
Accuracy, precision and recall are checked on test data.
Prediction
Users give new input in the web page and get the result instantly.
