What is the Ration Card Management System?

The Ration Card Management System helps the food supply office manage ration cards online. Families apply for new cards or changes, and officers verify and approve them.

Each card has a monthly quota, and ration shops record the grains given so there is no misuse. It is built with PHP, CodeIgniter and MySQL.

  1. Install XAMPP and start Apache and MySQL from the XAMPP control panel.
  2. Copy the project folder into C:\xampp\htdocs\ (or htdocs on Mac).
  3. Open localhost/phpmyadmin, create a new database and import the .sql file we provide.
  4. Open the database config file and enter your database name, username and password.
  5. Open localhost/project-folder in your browser and log in with the admin details given in the documentation.
