What is the To-Do List App?

The To-Do List App keeps daily tasks simple and organised. Users add tasks with a title, due date, priority and reminder time.

Tasks can be grouped into lists like Work, Study and Home, and completed tasks are checked off with a swipe. Notifications remind users at the right time. It is built in Android Studio with Java/Kotlin and a local database.

Best for: BCA, MCA, BSc IT, BE / B.Tech (CSE / IT) and diploma students. Good as a mini project for your semester submission.

  1. Install Android Studio and open it once so it downloads the SDK.
  2. Choose File → Open and select the project folder.
  3. Wait for Gradle sync to finish (first time may take a few minutes).
  4. Check the database / API settings file if the project uses a server.
  5. Connect your phone with USB debugging ON (or start an emulator) and click Run.
