What is the Bank Management System?
The Bank Management System is a web application that models the core operations of a bank, including account management, deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and transaction history, in a secure and structured way. Customers can open accounts, check balances, transfer money between accounts, and review a detailed statement of every transaction, while bank staff manage account approvals, monitor activity, and handle administrative tasks. Each transaction updates balances instantly and is permanently logged, ensuring an accurate and auditable record.
The project uses Firebase as its datastore, providing real-time synchronisation and cloud-backed reliability, while PHP and the CodeIgniter framework supply a structured MVC application layer for logic and presentation. - Install XAMPP and start Apache and MySQL from the XAMPP control panel.
- Copy the project folder into
C:\xampp\htdocs\(orhtdocson Mac). - Open
localhost/phpmyadmin, create a new database and import the.sqlfile we provide. - Open the database config file and enter your database name, username and password.
