What is the Online Toy Store?

The Online Toy Store sells toys and games for children of all ages. Toys are filtered by age group, type and brand, with safety information.

Parents add toys to the cart, choose gift wrap and pay online. The admin manages stock, orders and festive offers. It is built with PHP, CodeIgniter, JavaScript and MySQL.

Best for: BCA, MCA, BSc IT, BE / B.Tech (CSE / IT) and diploma students. Good as a mini project for your semester submission.

  1. Install XAMPP and start Apache and MySQL from the XAMPP control panel.
  2. Copy the project folder into C:\xampp\htdocs\ (or htdocs on Mac).
  3. Open localhost/phpmyadmin, create a new database and import the .sql file we provide.
  4. Open the database config file and enter your database name, username and password.
  5. Open localhost/project-folder in your browser and log in with the admin details given in the documentation.
