What is the Student Attendance Management System?

The Student Attendance Management System replaces paper registers with a simple online system. Teachers can mark attendance for their class or subject in a few clicks, and the data is saved instantly.

Students and parents can see attendance percentage, and the system highlights students with low attendance. Monthly and subject-wise reports are ready to print. It is built with PHP, CodeIgniter and MySQL and is a popular mini project.

  1. Install XAMPP and start Apache and MySQL from the XAMPP control panel.
  2. Copy the project folder into C:\xampp\htdocs\ (or htdocs on Mac).
  3. Open localhost/phpmyadmin, create a new database and import the .sql file we provide.
  4. Open the database config file and enter your database name, username and password.
  5. Open localhost/project-folder in your browser and log in with the admin details given in the documentation.
