What is the Passport Appointment Management System?

The Passport Appointment Management System lets applicants apply online and book an appointment slot at the office. Available slots are shown by date and centre.

On the appointment day, staff verify documents and update the application status, which applicants can track online. It is built with PHP, CodeIgniter and MySQL.

Best for: BCA, MCA, BSc IT, BE / B.Tech (CSE / IT) and diploma students. Good as a mini project for your semester submission.

  1. Install XAMPP and start Apache and MySQL from the XAMPP control panel.
  2. Copy the project folder into C:\xampp\htdocs\ (or htdocs on Mac).
  3. Open localhost/phpmyadmin, create a new database and import the .sql file we provide.
  4. Open the database config file and enter your database name, username and password.
  5. Open localhost/project-folder in your browser and log in with the admin details given in the documentation.
