What is the Petrol Pump Management System?

The Petrol Pump Management System is a web application that helps a fuel station manage its sales, stock, employees, and daily accounts accurately. It records fuel inventory for each product such as petrol and diesel, updates tank levels as fuel is sold and replenished, and tracks every sales transaction so the station always knows its true stock and income. Administrators manage employee shifts, nozzle readings, pricing, and credit customers, while generating clear daily and monthly accounts that reconcile fuel dispensed against revenue collected. By linking meter readings, sales, and stock together, the system exposes shortages or discrepancies that manual registers often hide.

Built with PHP and the CodeIgniter framework over a MySQL database, this mini project uses an MVC architecture that keeps the code organised and straightforward to extend. Role-based logins separate administrators, attendants, and managers so financial controls remain secure. Reports on fuel sales, stock movement, shift collections, and outstanding credit give owners a dependable view of operations and cash flow. The project demonstrates realistic inventory and reconciliation logic in a high-volume retail setting.

Complete source code and documentation are included so students can study how readings, sales, and accounts stay consistent. This project suits learners who want practical experience with stock control and daily financial reporting.

Best for: BCA, MCA, BSc IT, BE / B.Tech (CSE / IT) and diploma students. Good as a mini project for your semester submission.
